Makhachkala resident claims power agents’ inaction after his brother’s kidnapping

Kamaludin Pirbaev, a native of Dagestan, was kidnapped in Moscow in summer of 2016; and since then, his whereabouts are unknown, his relative has stated.

According to Adash Pirbaev, a resident of Makhachkala, in July 2016, his brother Kamaludin was kidnapped from a construction site in Moscow by masked men who arrived on two jeeps. This was reported to relatives by a builder, Kamaludin’s colleague.

Until now, relatives are unaware of his whereabouts; however, law enforcement bodies refuse to accept a search request, the today's issue of the "Chernovik" edition reports after Adash Pirbaev has turned to the editorial office.

"We believe that Kamaludin was kidnapped by power agents," the edition quotes Adash Pirbaev as saying.

Adash has added that since 2007 Kamaludin was on the so-called “prophylactic registry”, when he lived in the city of Dagestanskiye Ogni, because he wore a beard, and practised his namaz (prayer) not in a mosque, but with friends in an apartment.

Later, Kamaludin Pirbaev left for Belgium with his family, from where he returned to Russia several years later and worked as a builder-finisher in Moscow. "All this time, at any shootout, when my brother was abroad or in Moscow, they came to our home and were looking for him," Adash told the edition.
