ICRF reports kidnapping Khasavyurt resident

Alexei Kardashov, who left his home in Khasavyurt on September 14 and never came back, was kidnapped, investigators believe.

According to law enforcers, more than a week ago, the 42-year-old man left his home in Khasavyurt by his car.

The kidnappers have not been established yet, the website of the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has stated.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on September 7 in Makhachkala unidentified persons forced an 18-year-old son of the Imam of the Salafi mosque into their car, but the young man managed to escape. According to Imam Nigmatulla Radjabov, the kidnappers were dressed in police uniform. Law enforcers have promised to check the information.
