Policemen with a detainee blown up on a mine in Chechnya

In the forest near the village of Vedeno, policemen with a militant detained a year ago were blown up on a mine. As a result, the detainee was killed, and the law enforcers were hospitalized. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement agencies.

According to the source, the incident occurred in the Vedeno District in the evening on September 21. The policemen repeatedly combed the forest near Vedeno with a man detained a year ago, suspected of involvement in the militants' activities.

The policeman who accompanied the detainee in handcuffs was seriously injured, the portal "Kavkaz.Realii" reports with reference to the source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in May, in the Shatoi District of Chechnya, two law enforcers engaged in mine clearing of farmland were killed as a result of a mine explosion. Another law enforcer was injured.
