Russian soldier hospitalized after a brawl in Gyumri

A brawl involving soldiers from the 102nd Russian military base occurred in Gyumri. One of the men involved therein has been hospitalized with bodily injuries.

Late in the evening on September 10, the brawl broke out in Alabyan Street in Gyumri.

Policemen noticed the men fighting and approached them. On the ground, they saw a beaten citizen, while the other participants of the brawl managed to escape from the place, the "novostink.ru" reported on September 11.

The victim was brought to the medical centre of Gyumri. He appeared to be Yuri Nikolaev, a 26-year-old Russian soldier. He was diagnosed a closed head injury, the "Sputnik-Armenia" reports.

The man was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, and he was not able to report the circumstances of the incident, the "Sputnik-Armenia" writes with reference to Armen Khachatryan, the deputy director of the hospital.

The other participants of the brawl were also soldiers from the 102nd military base, the "news.am" reports with reference to a source from the Gyumri police.
