Two persons killed in CTO in Dagestan

In Dagestan, a leader of a militant grouping and a civilian were killed in the Khasavyurt District, and a policeman was wounded. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

According to the NAC, a special operation "was carried out within the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime valid in the region." Law enforcers are engaged in "finding out the possible routes for the militants' movement."

"As a result, in a short time, it was possible to find a criminal who was secretly changing his location," the NAC's website reported.

When offered to lay down arms and surrender, the criminal opened fire, and as a result, a policeman was wounded. The criminal was killed by return fire, the NAC reported.

According to the "Caucasian Knot", the CTO legal regime was introduced in Khasavyurt and the Khasavyurt District on March 19. Local residents report that the special operation does not affect their everyday activities.
