Mike Pence pledges US support to Georgian opposition

Today, during his visit to Georgia, US Vice President Mike Pence met leaders of four opposition parties, including the "United National Movement" (UNM), "European Georgia", "Movement of Construction", and "Free Democrats" Parties.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that US Vice President Mike Pence arrived in Georgia on July 31.

Today, Mike Pence has met the leaders of four Georgian opposition parties, the "Interfax" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Vakhtang Maisaya, PhD in Military and Political Sciences, that only politicians with pro-US views were invited to the meeting of Mike Pens with party members.

According to David Bakradze, the leader of the "European Georgia" Party, the main message of Mike Pence has been to state that the US "continues to steadily support Georgia." "We reported on the situation in the country and on internal problems of democratic development," the politician said.

Nika Meliya, the leader of the "United National Movement" Party, has told reporters that at the meeting they also discussed with Mike Pence a question about "occupation of Georgian territories," the "Interfax" reports.
