Jury's verdict fails to clear out role of Kadyrov's retinue in Nemtsov's murder

It is still unclear from the jurymen's verdict who was the customer of Boris Nemtsov's murder, said his daughter. The defence of the suffered party insists that Kadyrov's retinue was involved in this crime, said Vadim Prokhorov, an advocate of the Nemtsov family.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the Moscow District Military Court has announced the verdict on Boris Nemtsov's murder case. All the defendants are found guilty and not deserving any leniency.

The panel of 12 jurors has confirmed, by a majority vote, the involvement and guilt in the murder of Zaur Dadaev, Khamzat Bakhaev, Gubashev brothers and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov. The same was true for the episode on illegal acquisition, possession and carrying of firearms and ammunition.

"Putin's special services were powerless to find the customer of the most high-profile political assassination of the 21st century," Mr Prokhorov has stated with regret.

According to his version, "the real organizer of the murder was Ruslan Geremeev – a man from Kadyrov's closest retinue."

The defendants' advocates have expressed their disagreement with the jury's verdict, and intend to appeal against it at the Supreme Court of Russia.

Ilya Yashin, an oppositionist and Nemtsov's comrade, said that the customers and organizers of the crime "are still at large."

Zhanna, Boris Nemtsov's daughter, has noted that she treats the crime as unsolved and does not expect that investigators will ever find its customers.
