Over 800 people visit air festival in Nagorno-Karabakh
The organizers of the air festival, held on June 17 in Stepanakert, provided for amateurs for a chance to fly on air-balloons, paratracks and airplanes.
"The idea of the festival is to give visitors a chance to rise into the sky on a two-seat airplane from the light aviation of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), an air-balloon or a paratrack of the company, so that they can see how beautiful Artsakh is from above." The festival aims to attract tourists to visit Nagorno-Karabakh, Tigran Chibukhchyan, a co-founder and author of the project "Yell Extreme Park", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
He added that Nagorno-Karabakh possesses all prerequisites for the development of tourism, and "it is necessary to implement more projects here to this end."
Mr Chibukhchyan has noted that the Ministry of Economy of Nagorno-Karabakh welcomed the idea of the "YellExtremePark" festival and provided the territory of the StepanakertAirport for the event. "We do not exclude that the air festival in Artsakh will become annual," he said.
