Dagestani native arrested for preparing terror acts in Moscow

Magomed Davudov and three natives of Central Asia, suspected of preparing terror acts in Moscow public transport, were placed behind bars until July 25.

All the four suspects were detained on May 25 in the Moscow Novo-Peredelkino neighbourhood. According to the Russia's Federal Security Bureau (FSB), the grouping was part of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia.

At the defendants' residence, power agents found a laboratory for making explosives, a ready-to-use improvised explosive device (IED), stuffed with striking elements and components for making such IEDs. Besides, automatic firearms, ammunition, grenades, and literature and videos of extremist and terrorist nature were found, the TASS reports referring to the FSB's Public Relations Centre.

Today, the Meschansky Court of Moscow has ruled to arrest Mukhammadyusuf Ashurov, Furkat Kushaev, Abdushukur Gulmirzaev and Magomed Davudov for two months.

Davudov told the court that he was born in Dagestan and rented an apartment in Moscow, where he worked unofficially as a forklift driver at a Coca-Cola factory, the "Interfax" has reported.
