Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of missile strikes

In the evening of May 15, the Azerbaijani side has shelled with controlled missiles a military object of the Karabakh Army. As a result of the shelling, some military vehicles were partially damaged. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told about that by the spokesman for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Nagorno-Karabakh.

Meanwhile, according to the report of the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD disseminated in the evening, "the provocation of the Azerbaijani armed forces will not remain unanswered, and all the responsibility for the consequences is to be borne by the military and political leaders of Azerbaijan."

In its turn, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence accused Armenia of "continuing the provocative activities to aggravate the situation on the front line."

"On May 15, in the Fizuli-Khojavend direction of the front, the 'OSA' antiaircraft missile system of the Armenian antiaircraft forces was deployed by soldiers at a new position, where they made an attempt to take control of the air space," states the report posted on the website of the Azerbaijani MoD.

According to the report, "with the aim of preventing the threat to Azerbaijani aircrafts, the 'OSA' antiaircraft missile system and the loader-transport vehicle were completely disabled by fire." Meanwhile, "the personnel were destroyed," reported the Azerbaijani MoD.
