Azerbaijani activist associates call to police with his activity on Facebook

Young activist Elvin Abdullaev has reported that he was called to come to a police station. The activist has associated the call with his criticism of the authorities in social networks.

According to Elvin Abdullaev, on May 12, he got a phone call from the Chief Police Department for Baku and was ordered to come to their place today.

"Today, I have visited them. They talked to me for about half an hour. The conversation was more of a political moral teaching nature. They voiced no specific complaints. However, they warned me to be a 'smart guy.' I believe the call is likely connected with my post on Facebook on May 10, which I dedicated to the anniversary of the arrest of Giyas Ibragimov and Bairam Mamedov. I wrote about the real reasons for their arrests, and I also noted that with their actions, they became a part of the history of Azerbaijan," Elvin Abdullaev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
