IS claims responsibility for attack on policemen in Ingushetia

The terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia has claimed responsibility for the attack on a checkpoint of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) in Malgobek, during which a policeman was wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the attack on policemen was committed at night of May 12. As a result, policeman was wounded and two attackers were killed, including Magomed Bekbuzarov, who was wanted for involvement in an attack on a police patrol car in Malgobek on April 8, the law enforcement agencies report. According to the preliminary information, the second killed suspect was Adam Magmadov, a native of Chechnya.

On May 12, on its page on Twitter, the "SITE Intelligence Group", an NGO engaged in monitoring the activities of terrorist groupings on the Internet, reported with reference to the agency "Amaq" affiliated with militants the information that the "Islamic State" (recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization and banned by court's decision) took responsibility for the attack on policemen in Ingushetia.

According to the "Caucasian Knot", the attack in Malgobek has become the third attack during six months on the stationary checkpoints of law enforcers in the regions of Northern Caucasus.
