Man killed in Malgobek identified as suspect involved in April attack on policemen

Magomed Bekbuzarov, one of the militants killed this night in Ingushetia, was put on the wanted list for the involvement in the April attack on a police patrol car in Malgobek, the law enforcement agencies report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that tonight, in Malgobek, two militants have been killed during the attack on a checkpoint of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS). The attackers wounded a policeman.

"One of the attackers has been preliminary identified as Magomed Bekbuzarov, a 29-year-old resident of the Malgobek District. He was wanted by the law enforcement agencies for involvement in a criminal grouping and attempts on lives of law enforcers. The identification of the other killed militant is underway," reported an official from the regional law enforcement agencies as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

In particular, Magomed Bekbuzarov was suspected of involvement in the attack on a police patrol committed in Malgobek this April.

At night of April 8, inIndustrial Street in Malgobek, two DPS inspectors who were travelling in a police patrol car were shelled from automatic firearms. The police car caught fire, and the policemen died in the hospital from the injuries.
