Leader of "Makhachkala" grouping was among militants killed in Dagestan

One of the militants, killed in Dagestan in a shootout with policemen was identified as Ilyas Khalilov, the leader of the "Makhachkala" grouping, said a law enforcement source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 11, agents of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were shelled in the Kumtorkalin District, when trying to stop a passenger car for inspection; three attackers were killed.

"According to preliminary data, among the three militants liquidated on Tuesday in Dagestan, Ilyas Khalilov, the leader of the ‘Makhachkala’ sabotage-terrorist grouping, was identified,” said the source as quoted by the “Interfax”.
