The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that During the trial, the defendants claimed that they were tortured after the detention. The court obliged the Prosecutor's Office to check those statements.

On April 10, the defendants continued to testify. Defendant Cantemir Zheldashev complained that he was tortured after interrogation. He also claimed that he signed the recorded testimony without reading them.

"I did not give any evidence at all," said Cantemir Zheldashev, who at the time of his arrest was 19 years old. And he continued: "I signed it in hope that they would leave me in peace sooner," added the defendant.

According to Cantemir Zheldashev, he was "shocked" after what had happened to him, and he was morally suppressed by the indifference of the policemen who surrounded him. Cantemir Zheldashev also added that advocate Kezhenkulova promised him that he would be sentenced conditionally if he signed a protocol of the interrogation.
