Volgograd residents report their voluntary-compulsory participation in "Antiterror" rally

In Volgograd, according to the regional administration, at least 5000 people took part in the antiterror action. Employees of companies and public institutions reported they voluntary came to the action, although they were asked to attend the rally by their chiefs.

In their hands, the participants of the rally were holding the posters reading: "No to terror. Yes to life" and "We will not be intimidated". The leader of the rally has listed the names of people who fell victim to the terror act at the metro of Saint Petersburg. A minute of silence was counted by a metronome, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

According to employees of the public institution "Control and Quality Centre", they have learned about the rally from their trade union leaders.

"The sorrow is one for the whole country. We should support residents of our northern capital," noted Anastasia Tyutina, the chief specialist of the public institution.

At the rally, employees of the Centre for Youth Policy of the Regional Committee on Youth Affairs were distributing stickers reading: "We should live." Yaroslav Myzov said that they were informed about the rally by their bosses.

"We came here voluntarily with the whole team," said his colleague Yulia Machinistova.

However, an employee of one of the management companies said that they were obliged to take part in the action in the rally by their chiefs.
