Court fails to find material evidence in Mardiros Demerchyan's case
In the case of Mardiros Demerchyan, who complained about torture at a police station, a protocol on administrative violation drawn up on June 12, 2013 disappeared. The court refused the defence's proposal to examine the photocopies of the protocol. Because of the disappearance of the documents, it is impossible to find out for what reason Mardiros Demerchyan was brought to the police station, his advocate reports.
At the court session held on April 5, Alexander Kislyar, the former head of the Blinovo ROVD (District Interior Division), and Andrei Redko, a field investigator from Novocherkassk, claimed that they did not remember the details of the events which occurred almost four years ago and which were related to the Mardiros Demerchyan's case, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
Let us remind you that on July 9, 2014, Alexander Kislyar told the court that he remembered the builder. He has also confirmed that he signed a resolution on sending to the court a case to bring Mardiros Demerchyan to administrative responsibility for failure to obey the lawful requirements of a policeman.
Andrei Redko has said that he no longer remembers for what reason and how he detained Mardiros Demerchyan. "I do not remember anything about that; however, I confirm my testimony given earlier," he has said.
