Experts claim inconsistency of official version of attack in Naurskaya

There are no guarantees of the veracity of the official version about the attack on a unit of the National Guard in the regional centre of Naurskaya in the north of Chechnya. This opinion was voiced by experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, an attack was committed on the checkpoint of the military camp of the “Rosgvardia” (National Guard of Russia), the responsibility for which was claimed by the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia. Six servicemen were killed, and three others wounded. Six attackers were also killed, and two managed to escape.

The analysis of the photographs of young people killed in the attack on the military camp of the National Guard in the Cossack village of Naurskaya proves that all of them were shot dead with shots directed actually to their heads and their bodies had no other injuries, the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" reported on March 25 in the Elena Milashina's material "The 'Chinese shooting' in the Cossack village of Naurskaya." According to the material, those photographs may indicate that the killed suspects were detained alive. In particular, it is noted that one of the photographs shows a clear sign similar to a furrow-like print from handcuffs on the wrist of one of the killed man.

Orkhan Djemal, a "Forbes" journalist, has voiced two possible scenarios for the attack on the military camp of the National Guard in the Cossack village of Naurskaya.

"It is possible that the military unit was attacked by unidentified forces, people, during which fighters of the National Guard were killed. And then some of the people (the attackers) could be captured and executed. Or even a more severe scenario is also possible: at the moment when the leaders of the law enforcement bodies of the republic demanded retaliatory actions, the people who were earlier captured and kept 'in reserve' could be represented as the neutralized attackers," Orkhan Djemal told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The journalist has also noted that earlier, similar situations occurred in the republic "fairly regularly."

"It often happened that the people who were kept in cellars for several months were then killed and reported to be suspects eliminated during an armed clash," said Orkhan Djemal.

He has also added that the probability of such a version is indicated by "the presence of signs from handcuffs on the body of one of the killed people."
