In Krasnodar, seven supporters of Alexei Navalny arrested by court order

The Pervomaisky District Court of Krasnodar has arrested Miroslav Valkovich, the chief of the regional headquarters of Alexei Navalny, for 10 days. Apart from him, five persons were also arrested for the same period. According to activists, one young man has already been sentenced to a 15-day arrest.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, many cities of Russia hosted actions held by supporters of oppositionist Alexei Navalny. Participants of the actions demanded from the authorities to investigate allegations of corruption among top-ranking Russian officials.

On March 26, about 200 supporters of opposition leader Alexei Navalny were detained in Krasnodar, including Miroslav Valkovich, an organizer of the action. More than 100 people were brought to the police, where they were fingerprinted and forced to write explanatory letters. Minors who appeared to be among the detainees were released by 8:00 p.m. Moscow time. By 9:00 p.m. Moscow time, 20 people were still kept at the building of the police station in Oktyabrskaya Street. The police brought the people detained during the actions held by the Alexei Navalny's supporters in Krasnodar to the Leninsky and Pervomaisky District Courts of the city. At about midnight, the judges were urgently summoned for work to make decisions on the administrative cases opened against the detainees.
