Tskaev’s relatives condemn action to support detainees in connection with his death
The inquiry into the death of Vladimir Tskaev is protracted; however, his relatives expect a fair punishment of those guilty.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 14, about 100 relatives of the policemen, detained on the case of Tskaev's death, came to the Government House in Vladikavkaz demanding an objective inquiry into the criminal case.
Vladimir Tskaev died at night on November 1, 2015, after being interrogated at the Iriston police department. His relatives believe that he was tortured.
On March 17, at a press conference in Vladikavkaz, the widow of Tskaev and his advocate stated that his family and relatives were dissatisfied with the progress of the investigation.
Zemfira Tskaeva read out the printouts of telephone conversations, run by policemen at the night, when her husband was at the police department, as well as the testimonies, attached to the criminal case files.
At the request of the Tskaev family, the third medical examination was conducted in Moscow and confirmed that death occurred as a result of asphyxia – from strangulation by plastic bags.
Ms Tskaeva believes that a wider range of law enforcers had been involved in her husband’s death than those attracted by investigators to the criminal case. She also believes that police bosses should not escape responsibility.
