People in Beslan urge Dzasokhov to resign
People who suffered in the terror attack in Beslan school 1 started a picket at about 10 a.m. on the Rostov-Baku road entering Beslan, North Osetia. 150 residents of Beslan blocked off the road. Police blocked off all approach roads to the airport.
Picketers demand that President Dzasokhov should resign; criminal proceedings should be instituted against Kazbek Dzantiyev, the former interior minister of South Osetia, and Valery Andreev, chief of the FSB (Federal Security Service) department in Osetia; results of the investigation should be made public; and the passage across the administrative border between North Osetia and Ingushetia should be closed.
"We'll stand till the end. If it's needed, we'll stay here for more than one day," a woman participating in the picket said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent.
