Two special operations in Dagestan
Private houses, which rebels from the Dzhennet group were supposed to be in, were stormed in two Dagestani towns, Makhachkala and Kaspiysk. The storm of the houses began at night on January 14.
In the capital of Dagestan, Makhachkala, rebels occupied a private house. The house was surrounded, and the storm began. A Caucasian Knot correspondent watched the storm in immediate proximity to the occupied building.
Special operations soldiers used light antitank flame throwers Shmel of high damaging action. The house caught fire. However the rebels took cover in the basement, officers of special services say. An armored personnel carrier and tank arrived at the scene, and the tank razed the house with rebels to the ground.
The storm of the private house in Kaspiysk is over too. One rebel was killed, and another two detained as a result. The killed man is Magomedzagir Akayev, a 50-year-old resident of the village of Sanchi, Dagestan's Kaytaksky district. He was wanted for terror attacks. Three officers of the Dagestani Interior Ministry were killed during the storm.
