In Rostov-on-Don, Court starts retrial of case against unit of "Hizb ut-Tahrir"

In Rostov-on-Don, the North-Caucasian   District Military Court has launched a re-trial in the case against Ruslan Zeitullaev, who is charged of creating in Crimea of a regional unit of the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir", banned in Russia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that on September 7, 2016, the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don pronounced verdicts of guilty in the cases against Ruslan Zeitullaev, Ferat Saifulaev, Rustem Vaitov, and Nuri Primov. They were found guilty of involvement in the terrorist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir" banned in Russia and of creating in Crimea of its unit. The defendants were sentenced to five years of imprisonment. On December 27, 2016, the Supreme Court (SC) of the Russian Federation cancelled the verdict to Ruslan Zeitullaev and sent the case for re-trial.

On February 13, the North-Caucasian   District Military Court held a hearing in the case against Ruslan Zeitullaev.

At the court hearing, Ruslan Zeitullaev has pleaded not guilty. The defendant has also added that he treats the charge against him as "inappropriate wild guesses of special services."

According to the advocate, despite repeated complaints of Ruslan Zeitullaev about his bad health state, he receives no medicine at the SIZO (pre-trial prison), and doctors found by staff members of the Consulate of Ukraine failed to visit him, the "OVD-Info" reports.
