"Rosbalt" reports names of people detained on charge of plotting assassination of Ramzan Kadyrov

In the case of planned assassination of the leader of the Chechen Republic in the spring of 2016, the investigators' versions is based on the testimonies of Shamkhan Magomadov, Beslan Zakaraev, and Aziz Alviev, detained in May 2016 after an attack on a checkpoint in the Grozny District. Meanwhile, two of them have close relations with the Yamadaev family, the "Rosbalt" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 30, the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" reported that the Chechen police trailed organizers of the failed assassination attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov in Benoi. The investigators suspect Isa Yamadaev of organizing the assassination attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov.

Sources familiar with the situation report that the case of planned assassination of Ramzan Kadyrov is based on the testimonies given by three persons, detained in May 2016 after an attack on a checkpoint in the Grozny District, the "Rosbalt" reports on February 1.

According to the edition, in May 2016, Shamkhan Magomadov, a resident of the village of Benoi, after his detention in the case of an attack on a checkpoint confessed to training of suicide bombers killed at the checkpoint. Besides, he also confessed to the plans to commit a number of other terror acts in the territory of Chechnya. Law enforcers also detained Beslan Zakaraev, a neighbour of Shamkhan Magomadov, a relative of Isa Yamadaev, and Aziz Alviev, a former bodyguard of Isa Yamadaev, the "Rosbalt" reports.
