In Chechnya, five people killed in armed clash

In the town of Shali, militants attacked policemen and killed two of them. During the special operation, three attackers were killed, and two civilians were injured. This was reported by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

An armed incident occurred after policemen tried to stop suspicious persons.

"In response to a request to produce their IDs, they opened fire and threw a grenade. Police Sergeant Ali Muslimkhanov, a staff member of the Division for the Shali District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and Islam Yakhadjiev, an inspector of the post-and-patrol service (known as PPS) of the MIA's Department for the city Grozny, a native of Shali, who came home, died from their wounds and shrapnel injuries," reported Ramzan Kadyrov as quoted by the official website of the Chechen leader and the Chechen government.

The Chechen leader has also reported that two civilians were injured as a result of the attack.

According to the Ramzan Kadyrov's report, the killed men have been identified as Shali residents Yunus Mukaev, Sidik Dargaev, and Beshto Emediev, and their actions in Syria were led by Magomed Rashidov, a native of Shali and a recruiter for the "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist organization, which activities are banned in Russia by court's decision).
