Despite the demands of international mediators, Armenia is protracting the procedure of giving out the body of Chingiz Gurbanov, an Azerbaijani military, the spokesman of the State Commission on Matters of Prisoners of War, Missing and Captured Citizens of Azerbaijan has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 29, 2016, Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of committing a diversion that led to an armed clash and mutual losses. The Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported the death of three Armenian soldiers; while Azerbaijan has recognized the disappearance of its soldier Chingiz Gurbanov. On December 30, 2016, the Red Cross promised assistance to Baku in delivery of the soldier's body.

"The official Armenian bodies refuse to respond to persistent requests of international organizations for the return of the body of Gurbanov, Chingiz oglu Salman, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces," the spokesman of the above Azerbaijani State Commission has stated today.
