Residents of Volgograd neighbourhood complain about problems with water supply

In the Dzerzhinsk District of Volgograd, residents of three streets of the neighbourhood of Gumrak, who during eight months experience problems with water supply, associate them with the construction of water supply systems and a highway to the international airport of the regional centre. Residents of Gumrak also reported that a children's playground had been destroyed during the construction works in the village. According to the Regional Prosecutor's Office, the project for modernization of water supply to the neighbourhood of Gumrak has been implemented for 95%, and the company guilty of the destruction of the children's playground, has been fined.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 18, the Gumrak residents held two solo pickets. They demanded from the authorities to solve the problems with heat and electricity supply.

Earlier, interruptions in water supply affected about 450 people.

Limited Liability Company (LLC) "EnergoStroyEngineering" has been fined by 20,000 roubles for the destruction of the elements of the village landscape and the failure to restore them in due time, schedule initially for late June and then for October 1. This was reported by D. Vasyutenko, the chief of the department for supervision over observance of laws in the social sphere of the Prosecutor's Office for the Volgograd Region.
