SAM of Adygea and Krasnodar Territory refutes theft of Kadyrov's sheep

All the sacrificial sheep that arrived in Adygea from Chechnya, have been distributed, said the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of the Republic of Adygea and Krasnodar Territory, stressing that the Muftiate (the other name of the SAM) has all the information on who had received the animals.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 1, Valery Brinikh, the Chairman of the Branch of the All-Russian Society of Environmental Protection, sent an application to the police asking to check the information on that a part of the sheep sent to Adygea at the instruction of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for the holiday of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram), have not reached the poor families. The sheep were stolen by local officials, the ecologist has asserted.

The above SAM has treated the information about the stolen sheep as invalid.

The SAM has stated that it "reserves the right to sue Valery Brinikh for slander and discrediting the honour and reputation" of the Muftiate.

Valery Brinikh stated earlier that he had learnt about the theft of sheep from a resident of Adygea, who said that out of 1250 sheep sent to the republic, only 500 animals reached the people, while rest of them were sent to the territory of the former poultry farm in the settlement of Rodnikovskoye. Brinikh noted that presumably the sheep were sold at a price significantly below the market one.
