In case of Boris Nemtsov's murder, advocate claims court's unwillingness to investigate threats to witness

In the case on the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov, the judge prevented the defence from clarifying the situation with pressure on Zarina Isoeva, a prosecution witness, who claimed receiving threats with demands not to testify at trial. This was stated by advocate Zaurbek Sadakhanov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since October 3, the Moscow District Military Court has been considering, with the participation of the jury, the case of Boris Nemtsov's murder. On November 15, the court questioned the above Zarina Isoeva, a concierge of No. 46 inVeyernaya   Street in Moscow, where, according to her story, Ruslan Geremeev owned one of the apartments, while defendants Zaur Dadaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov were among his guests. On November 23, Zarina Isoeva, claimed that in May-June 2016, she received threats with demands not to testify at trial. In connection with the above, the woman was taken under the state protection.

Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27, 2015, in Moscow. Within his murder case five natives from Chechnya and Ingushetia were arrested, including Zaur Dadaev, brothers Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev. The criminal case also involves Chechen officers Ruslan Mukhudinov, Ruslan Geremeev, and Beslan Shavanov, who was killed during his detention.

At the court session held on November 23, the defender asked witness Zarina Isoeva to clarify the situation with the threats against her and the actions taken in that connection. However, the defence failed to get the testimony "because of the actions of the court." This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Zaurbek Sadakhanov, an advocate of Khamzat Bakhaev.

In particular, Zaurbek Sadakhanov asked witness Zarina Isoeva to answer if something had changed after the threats had been voiced against her. However, the judge withdrew the defender's question by saying: "The witness has said that at present, she is not under pressure," the "Mediazone" reports.

The advocate intends to appeal against the actions of the court to the High Qualification Board of Judges.
