Father of Ingush resident accused of terrorism states case falsification

Elbert Kharsiev, a figurant in the case of a group of young people, who had plotted terror acts in Ingushetia and Moscow, had a grenade planted on him during a search, said his father.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 15, the FSB announced the detention of five people, who had planned, according to power agents, to commit terror acts in Ingushetia and Moscow. A law enforcement source of the "Caucasian Knot" has revealed their names: Salamkhan Sampiev, Ruslan Esmurziev, Khusen Kitiev, Magomed Amatkhanov and Elbert Kharsiev.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has managed to contact Akhmed Kharsiev, the father of Elbert Kharsiev.

He expressed his confidence that Elbert has nothing to do with plotting any terror acts.

"During a search, [power agents] came into my son's room with the witnesses; the witnesses being their soldiers; I followed them everywhere. They came up to the dresser, opened one drawer, then another. I tried getting closer; they stood with their backs on me, trying to block me; and I couldn't see what was happening there; and then the one, who opened the drawers, turned around; and there was a 'khattabka' (a sort of a hand-grenade – note of the "Caucasian Knot") in his hand," said Akhmed Kharsiev.

"I'm a law enforcer myself; I worked for six years there – it's clear that the grenade was planted," said the father.

As a result, Elbert was forced to sign the interrogation protocol, according to which he is charged with Part 2, Article 205, of the Criminal Code; he had to self-slander," Kharsiev-Senior believes.
