During the week of November 14-20, 2016, no one fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Special and counterterrorist operations

At 2:00 p.m. Moscow time of November 13, the operational headquarters for Dagestanlifted the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime in the Buynaksk District, introduced on October 18. The CTO legal regime was lifted in connection with the completion of all operational activities. The related information was reported on November 14.

Detentions

On November 14, in the course of operational and search activities, law enforcers detained five members of a grouping associated with the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia by the court, who were plotting terror acts in Ingushetia and in Moscow. The detention took place in the Cossack village of Nesterovskaya of the Sunzha District and in the territory of the city of Malgobek in Ingushetia. Law enforcers seized from detainees two bombs, each with power of 10 kg of TNT equivalent, and five firearms.
