Ramazan Djalaldinov served his sentence for defamation

Ramazan Djalaldinov, a resident of the Chechen village of Kenkhi, convicted of defamation in his complaint to Putin about local authorities, has carried out his public works, the Department for Chechnya of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August the court found Djalaldinov guilty of defamation and sentenced him to 160 hours of compulsory public works.

Khabib, a Djalaldinov's son, said that he last saw his father on November 3, and had no messages from him since. The son does not believe that Ramazan could disappear without noting his relatives.

Let us remind you that on November 7, relatives and fellow villagers of Ramazan Djalaldinov reported his disappearance. The Chechen prosecutor's office and the ombudsman said that they were checking this information. On November 10, Djalaldinov contacted Svetlana Gannushkina, the head of the "Civil Assistance" Committee, told her that he had left the republic after the threats, received from Chechen law enforcers, and asked not to look for him for a while.
