After the recent mass poisoning in Makhachkala, 281 persons are still in hospitals, said a source from the emergency services. On November 8, according to various sources, from 307 to 322 patients were still in hospitals.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 8, a source from the emergency services of Dagestan reported that 307 persons still remained in hospitals of Makhachkala with symptoms of acute intestinal infection. According to the Ministry of Public Health, the inflow of patients into hospitals is going down.

The mass poisoning with potable water in the capital of Dagestan occurred after on October 27 residents reported about supply of dirty water to their homes after completion of works on the Miatli HPP. The "Rospotrebnadzor" blamed the bosses of the Makhachkala "Vodokanal" of the mass poisoning, although residents of the city claimed that the authorities could have prevented the epidemics outbreak, if they had timely solved the problems of pollution of the city and the operation of the water supply systems.
