On October 24-30, 2016, one person fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week of October 24-30, 2016, one person was killed in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. No wounded were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
The killed man was a suspected member of the armed underground in Dagestan.
Special and counterterrorist operations
On October 26, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the village of Tagirkent-Kazmalyar of the Magaramkent District of Dagestan. Law enforcers cordoned off a house with a yard in the village, and they were shelled from the house. As a result of a brief shootout, a man, who rendered armed resistance to fighters of the federal forces, was killed. The suspect has been preliminary identified as Valekh Rafikhanov, who this March joined a group of militants, acting in the territory of southern Dagestan. At 11:00 a.m. Moscow time of October 27, the CTO legal regime was lifted.
