In Buynaksk, hunger-strikers claim no reaction from city authorities

In Buynaksk, an ambulance was called for protestors on hunger strike. The hunger-strikers were put on a drip; however, they refused hospitalization. The protestors also claim attempts to discredit them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 28, members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) went on a hunger strike in Buynaksk. They demand to revise the voting results. As of today, eight persons, representing CPRF, LDPR and "Yabloko" Party, continue their hunger strike.

"Today, an ambulance has been called twice. All the hunger-strikers were put on a drip. Physicians insist on taking us to hospital; however, we have refused," Kamill Shakhbulatov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"There is no reaction from the authorities, if to ignore that the city authorities try to discredit us. Now they are disseminating on the Internet a kind of appeal allegedly prepared by public activists of Buynaksk. According to the above appeal, we are allegedly destabilizing the situation in the city and are deceiving the people. None of those public activists has ever come to us to ask how we feel here. Our demands concern all the people, and public activists are to be the first to support us," said Magomedtagir Rizvanov.
