Buynaksk protesters are hunger-striking for two weeks

Eight members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) and the "Yabloko" Party, who demand to cancel the election outcomes in Buynaksk, have announced their intention to go to court.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 28, CPRF members went on hunger strike in Buynaksk, demanding to revise the voting results.

According to the hunger-strikers, eight persons continue the protest action, not only the CPRF members, but also members of the LDPR and the "Yabloko" Party, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Today, the hunger-strikers were visited by employees of the Buynaksk Investigating Division of the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), who asked the protesters about the violations at the elections, said Rashid Khabibulaev, a hunger-striker.

Meanwhile, the hunger-strikers are waiting for the visit of officials from the General Prosecutor's Office who are supposed to check information on the violations at the elections.

"So far, they haven't come; and nobody knows, when they will. We only know that the Central Election Commission (CEC) has handed over all the materials on electoral violations in Buynaksk to the ID for Dagestan of the ICRF," Kamil Shakhbolatov, another hunger-striker, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, adding that the protesters intend to bring all their materials about violations to the court.
