CPRF members-hunger-strikers complain about falsification of protocols at elections in Buynaksk

Members of the Buynaksk branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), who are on the hunger strike, claim that according to the copies of the protocols made after the voting in Buynaksk, the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party gained 10,000 votes less than the election commission reported in its final results.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Buynaksk, the members of the CPRF went on hunger strike on September 28.

The protest action involves 15 people. They demand to review the results of the elections to the People's Assembly of Dagestan, which took place on September 18. This was noted by Kamil Shakhbulatov, the first secretary of the CPRF's branch in Buynaksk, a participant of the hunger strike.

"We have filed about 20 complaints to the Election Commission of Dagestan, including oral complaints and calls to the 'hotline'. However, we have got no response from the Election Commission," Rashid Khabibulaev, a protestor and an observer at the elections, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to Rashid Khabibulaev, violations took place at all polling stations.

"Our protocols state that the 'Edinaya Rossiya' Party gained 4470 votes. And according to their new protocols, it turns out that 14,469 people voted in favour of candidates from the 'Edinaya Rossiya' Party. We have the information that the CPRF gained 2907 votes, and the election commission wrote that there were only 908 votes in favour of the Communists. This is absolute nonsense, since at some polling stations, where family members of the CPRF's members on hunger strike voted, the election commission wrote that only one vote was given for the Communists," said Rashid Khabibulaev.
