Soldier killed in Karabakh conflict zone

Sevak Khachatryan, a soldier of the Defence Army, was fatally wounded during the shelling from the Azerbaijani side. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD, soldier Sevak Khachatryan, born in 1997, "got a fatal gunshot wound on the defensive position of one of the military units, deployed in the southern direction of the contact line."

"The soldier was killed as a result of violation of ceasefire by the enemy, which took place at about 10:40 a.m. of September 25. The investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident," reports the message posted today on the website of the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD.

No comments from the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan are available concerning the above statement. Meanwhile, today, Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of six cases of shelling during the day.
