Widow of resident of Dagestan kidnapped in 2007 asks MIA to remove her from "prophylactic record"

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ramazan Umarov was detained on April 28, 2007. His relatives could not define his whereabouts and turned to the prosecutor's office. The case on Umarov's kidnapping was opened on May 19, 2007; but it was never investigated and was suspended for six times. On December 18, 2007, Umarov's relatives appealed to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). On June 12, 2012, the ECtHR obliged Russia to pay them compensation of 60,000 euros. The Court ruled that the absence of any news about the fate of Umarov was sufficient proof of his death.

Aminat Sakhatova said that in 2014 power agents forced her to give a DNA assay. Law enforcers got interested in her son a year ago.

The woman turned to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" asking to help her to get removed from the so-called "prophylactic record" and protect her and her young son from illegal persecution of power agents.

Ruslan Magomedov, a member of the Dagestani Bar, believes that Aminat Sakhatova will have to go to court to get removed from the "prophylactic record".
