In Yerevan, Vaagn Gumashyan, supporter of "Constituent Parliament", released

Today, the Armenian General Prosecutor's Office has announced no need to keep in custody Vaagn Gumashyan, a supporter of the "Constituent Parliament", who is accused of using violence against a public official during the dispersal of demonstrators.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Vaagn Gumashyan was arrested on 3 August. On August 24, in Yerevan, the Court of Appeal dismissed the motion to change the pre-trial restriction measure filed by Vaagn Gumashyan's defence. The defendant's advocate has called the court's decision ungrounded and the case against her client fabricated. According to the advocate, on July 29, Vaagn Gumashyan was not at the place of the dispersal of demonstrators.

Today, the Armenian General Prosecutor's Office has made a decision to release Vaagn Gumashyan. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a press officer of the General Prosecutor's Office.

Without specifying any details, the official has explained that the need for keeping Vaagn Gumashyan in custody "disappeared."
