Two Chechen women may have been involved in plane explosions

Chechen law enforcement agencies have no information on the implication of republican residents, killed in Tu-134 and Tu-154 plane explosions, in terrorist activity. "By now our officers have established exact data about Aminat Nagayeva, one of the women suspected of committing the terrorist act in the Tu-134 plane flying from Moscow to Volgograd. She was 27. She was born in the village of Tevzeni, Chechnya's Vedeno district. She had three brothers and four sisters. One of her brothers went missing in the beginning of the present war. He was taken away from his own house by soldiers in masks, and his further destiny is unknown. Aminat moved to Grozny to one of her brothers a few years ago. Her relatives and acquaintances say she earned her living by trading at a Grozny market. Now we cannot assert that she committed the terrorist act in the plane. Though there are some "blank spots" in her life," a source in the Chechen Interior Ministry said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent.

"A check concerning the second resident of Chechnya suspected of terrorism is also being conducted. It is embarrassed because we have no exact starting data and there are a lot of Dzhebirkhanovs in the republic. We've managed to establish that she was born in the Shali district of Chechnya. But I'd like to point out that there's no woman with such a family name in our operational database," the police officer said.
