NAC reports four militants killed in Andi village

In the course of the special operation carried out in the Botlikh District of Dagestan, four persons were killed in a shootout with law enforcers, including Shamil Gadjiev, the head of the "mountainous sector" of the armed underground. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this morning, the counterterrorist operation (CT) legal regime was introduced in the territory of the village of Andi of the Botlikh District. According to the preliminary information as at 10:24 a.m. Moscow time, three suspected militants, including the leader of the Botlikh armed grouping, were killed in a shootout, a source from the law enforcement bodies reports.

According to the NAC, no law enforcers or civilians suffered.

"The militants have been preliminary identified, including Shamil Gadjiev, born in 1992, the leader of the 'mountainous sector' of the armed underground, who was on the federal wanted list since 2014," reports the NAC as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

According to the NAC, weapons and ammunition were found at the place of the shootout.
