"Vesti": IS posts archived video with threats against Russia

The video statement with threats against Russian citizens published on the Internet by the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia by the court, was made by Gasan Abdullaev, one of the leaders of the Dagestani armed underground, who was killed in June 2016.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 1, it was reported that the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) published on the Internet a video calling for jihad against Russia. The posted video contained threats against Russian citizens.

The date of the video record is unknown; however, the statement was voiced by Gasan Abdullaev (Abu Yasser), one of the leaders of the armed underground of Dagestan, who was killed in June 2016, the "Vesti.ru" reports without disclosing a source of the information about the Gasan Abdullaev's involvement in recording of the video.

On June 17, Gasan Abdullaev (Abu Yasser) was killed in a shootout with law enforcers in Dagestan. The law enforcers treated him as one of the leaders of the North-Caucasian militants, who swore allegiance the "Islamic State", recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia by the court. The death of Gasan Abdullaev was officially confirmed by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
