Rebels lay down their arms in Yerevan

At the rally held in support of the rebels, Albert Bagdasaryan, a former MP, has announced that members of the group "Sasna Tsrer" (Daredevils of Sassoun) have surrendered to avoid bloodshed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since July 17, members of the "Constituent Parliament" supporting the opposition hold the police regiment building in Yerevan. Initially, the rebels held police officers hostage inside the building, and they were released by July 23. On July 27, it became known that members of the ambulance crew, who arrived to assist the rebels, were taken hostage in the captured building. On July 31, all hostages were set free.

According to Albert Bagdasaryan, the call to lay down arms was voiced by Zhirair Sefilyan, the opposition leader.

Earlier, on his Facebook page, Albert Bagdasaryan has written that the anti-crisis group ceased coordinating protest actions in support of the group "Sasna Tsrer".

The above was caused by the arrest of the majority of the group members, including, in particular, Alek Enigomshyan, a member of the "Constituent Parliament". "In such a situation, we treat the activity of the anti-crisis group as inefficient," announces the statement.
