Protest action in Yerevan ends without detentions

Demonstrators in Yerevan have fulfilled the police's demand and left Bagramyan Avenue. The motor traffic in the centre of the Armenian has reopened.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Yerevan, in the evening on July 30, supporters of the "Sasna Tsrer" organization began a march. Additional police forces and special machinery were pulled up to Bagramyan Avenue. One of the protesters was taken to hospital with burns; after which the crowd, which, according to various estimates, was from 1.5 to 6 thousand strong, began dispersing. However, some 300 protesters decided to continue the action; and policemen declared their readiness to apply measures to disperse them.

At the moment, all the protesters have dispersed; there were no detentions. The traffic in central of Yerevan has resumed.
