In case against Valery Permyakov, court appoints date to consider motion for disqualification of judge

On July 12, the ambulatory court of first instance of the Shirak District will consider the defence motion for disqualification of Judge Arutyun Movsisyan. This was reported by the advocate of the successors of the Avetisyan family members.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 8, the advocate of the successors and the relatives of the Avetisyan family members filed a motion for disqualification of the Judge, since they suspected the trial of bias in the case of the murder of the Avetisyan family members in Gyumri.

On May 27, the advocate of the successors of the Avetisyan family members filed a motion for filing a claim in the amount of 450,000 euros against Russia. According to the plaintiffs, Russia is responsible for the errors committed by the commanders of the military base which resulted in the tragedy. The court dismissed the claim filed by the successors of the Avetisyan family members.

On July 12, the ambulatory court of first instance of the Shirak District will make a decision on the motion for disqualification of the judge. This was reported by Lusine Saakyan. The advocate has suggested that the judge will dismiss the motion, since "it is not him" who makes the decision.
