Policemen rebuffed when trying to enter house of activist Ruzanna Egnukyan

The investigators have made a decision to force to the police station Ruzanna Egnukyan, an activist of the "Front of Armenian Women", recognized injured in a clash with the police in Yerevan on March 24. On June 30, policemen tried to enter her apartment for a search without a court order; however, they were not allowed into the house. This was reported by the husband of the activist.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 14, it became known that Ruzanna Egnukyan refused to appear before the investigator for questioning and stated that she had nothing new to say.

Karo Egnukyan, the husband of Ruzanna Egnukyan, told the policemen who came that his wife was not at home. According to the activist's husband, the policemen managed to break into the apartment for a short time, but they were quickly pushed out of the apartment.

Behind the door, one of the policemen reported on the situation to his superiors and claimed being subjected to violence by Karo Egnukyan.

According to the Ruzanna Egnukyan's husband, his injured wife twice received notifications from the investigating authorities; however, she did not come to the police station. "It's an act of her civil disobedience," the activist's husband has explained.

Karo Egnukyan notes that during the visit of the policemen, his wife attended the court session in the case against Gevorg Safaryan, an activist of the "Constituent Parliament".
