Natives from Caucasus concerned about detention of their fellow countrymen in Istanbul

Detentions are continued in Istanbul in connection with the terror act at the airport. Sources report about detained natives of Dagestan, Chechnya and Azerbaijan. The Istanbul Police believe that the terrorists arrived in Turkey on forged documents. Natives of Northern Caucasus, living in Turkey, associate the activation of local law enforcers with the restoration of Russian-Turkish relations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that mass media wrote that a certain Osman Vadinov was one of the perpetrators of the terror act. Some media called him a native of Chechnya, others – from Dagestan. An ethnic Chechen Akhmed Chataev was treated as an alleged organizer of the terror act.

According to the latest data, the number of those killed in the terror act amounted to 44 people, the "Ren-TV" reports.

On June 30, in different districts of Istanbul, the police carried out raids to detain the persons, who could be involved in committing the terror act.

The Sabah Daily reports that Binali Yildirim, the Prime Minister of Turkey has stated that the explosions at the airport were backed up by the terrorist grouping "Islamic State" (IS) (banned in Russia).

Some natives from Northern Caucasus, living in Turkey, are concerned about the process of restoration of Russian-Turkish relations.

According to a native of Karachay-Cherkessia, now in Turkey, "there are hundreds, if not thousands of people from Northern Caucasus, against whom at home similar criminal case were opened on charges of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs) in Syria."
