Akhmed Chataev declared being involved in terror act in Istanbul

One of the three explosions committed at the Istanbul airport on June 28 involved a native of Chechnya or Dagestan. This was reported by Turkish media. Besides, their sources from secret services do not rule out the involvement in the terror act of Akhmed Chataev, a Chechen native, an assistant to Doku Umarov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since 2003, Akhmed Chataev is wanted by the Russian law enforcement bodies, who called him the European agent of Doku Umarov (the leader of the "Imarat Kavkaz", banned by the Russian court, who was declared by militants as dead on March 18, 2014, note of the "Caucasian Knot"). In 2012, Akhmed Chataev was detained in the course of the special operation conducted in the Lopota Gorge; however, in January 2013, the court of Tbilisi acquitted him. In 2014, Umar Idigov, a resident of the Pankisi Gorge, reported that Akhmed Chataev was in Turkey.

As a result of the three suicide bombings committed at the International Terminal of Ataturk Airport, at least 42 people died and 239 others were injured.

13 persons, including three foreigners, are detained on suspicion of involvement in the terror act.

According to other information, he is identified as Osman Vadinov from Chechnya, the "Hurriyet" reports. This information is refuted by the newspaper "Milliyet", which reports with reference to the investigators that all the three suicide bombers were citizens of Tajikistan.
