Azerbaijan reports on nine cases of shelling from Armenian side

During the past day, the Armenian side has violated the ceasefire regime on the contact line nine times. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parties to the Karabakh conflict express their desire for a peaceful settlement. On June 20, at the meeting, held in Saint Petersburg and involving the Russian President, the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan the parties agreed to increase the number of the OSCE observers in the Karabakh conflict zone. However, the parties to the conflict continue to accuse each other of violating the armistice signed on April 5.

Yesterday, on June 24, and at night on June 25, the Armenian forces nine times opened fire on the positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces, the "Trend.az" reports with reference to the Azerbaijani MoD.

Till present, no comments from officials of the Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenian MoDs concerning the Azerbaijan's statements are available.

Let us remind you that on June 24, Azerbaijan accused the Armenian side of 17 violations of the ceasefire, and Nagorno-Karabakh reported that its positions were shelled from a grenade launcher.
